the mosman refresh
The Mosman Heights Shopping Centre has been an integral part of the Mosman Park fabric since it was built in the late 70’s, with a Mac’s Supermarket providing convenient grocery retailing for the local neighbourhood. Owned and operated by Cottesloe’s McGilvray family it along with eight other western suburbs Mac’s stores epitomised what Mosman Refresh is now all about – being local, fresh, high quality, welcoming and convenient.
Today, this iconic neighbourhood centre is home to the essentials and is anchored by a family owned and operated Supa IGA supermarket, plus a pharmacy, bakery, fish and chip shop and a corner liquor store.
Over 40 years on however the centre is due for a refresh, and its new owners, Cottesloe based property investment and development group Australian Development Capital, or ADC, are committed to improving and rejuvenating the property. The Refresh program is all about exploring new ways of enjoying the place and get community ideas and input into the short term improvement and long term redevelopment.
THE fresh
At present, our centre provides a range of goods for the local community offered by its exceptional retailers.
Naturally Fresh at Mosmans - “the grocer”
Bitter Sweet Bake - “the baker”
Mosman Park Seafoods - “the fish’N’CHIPmonger”
Mosman Park Pharmacy - “the chemist”
BWS - “the bottle service”
THE refresh
Centre owners ADC are currently considering options for a total refresh of the Property, keeping all of the retailers you know and love, but creating a far better environment in which they can exist.
Our vision is to create something that is well connected to the neighbourhood, a vibrant village that feels inclusive for all local residents, encourages visitors to stay and enjoy what is on offer. We imagine it will add some more dining options to the existing mix, maybe a local bar, more shops and improving parking and access and the community spaces around the site. We also want to include new living options, understand what options are missing in the local community and how this can support investment in redevelopment of the centre.
Most importantly, what we ultimately do here will be shaped by your input, so please take a moment to tell us below what you would like to see happen in the Mosman Refresh.
